Octowood

I've decided to try my hand at painting on found objects. It's a project I've been wanting to work on for a while now, but my constant love/hate relationship with acrylics has dampened my spirits.

Now after cleaning out my car, I (re)found a piece of driftwood I collected off the beach last summer, and decided it was time to get to work:

It's about 3' long, 4" wide, and ready to be played with.

I've Been a Busy Little Bee

Hence my lack of updates recently. Preparing for the RAW Boston show has taken a lot of my free time away from the Blogosphere. I've been working on creating a new series of small ink works, as well as elaborating on my series of "Oracle" paintings, featuring women with weird smoke coming out of their facial holes. Here's a preview!
